Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-11-03

This text is a draft and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It may change before public launch.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PlanarCraft (the “Service”), including the website, editor, API and exported files. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it to these Terms.

1. The Service

PlanarCraft turns sketches, photos, reference images and text descriptions into editable 2D drawings (for example floor plans, interior layouts and part outlines) and exports them as DXF, DWG (Beta), SVG, PNG or PDF. Some features use third-party AI models.

We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a paid feature you rely on in a material way, we will tell you in advance where reasonably possible.

2. Accounts

You need an account to save and export drawings. You must give accurate information, keep your sign-in method secure and be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher).

You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at legal@planarcraft.example if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Credits, plans and payment

Generations, refinements and image renders consume credits as shown in the product before you confirm an action. Free credits and plan credits have no cash value, are not transferable and expire as described on the pricing page.

Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.

Prices are shown before purchase and may include or exclude taxes depending on your location. We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days’ notice.

Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable. If a generation fails because of an error on our side, the credits are returned automatically. Consumers in the EU/UK keep any statutory withdrawal rights; by starting to use credits immediately you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may end once the digital service has been fully provided.

4. Your content

You keep all rights in the sketches, photos, text and other material you upload (“Inputs”). You grant us a limited licence to host, process and transmit Inputs only to operate, secure and improve the Service and to provide it to you.

Subject to these Terms and your plan, you own the drawings and files the Service generates for you (“Outputs”), to the extent the law allows ownership of AI-assisted output. Paid plans include commercial use. Outputs on the Free plan carry a watermark and are for personal, non-commercial evaluation.

We do not use your Inputs or Outputs to train third-party foundation models. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage data to improve quality.

You confirm that you have the rights needed for your Inputs and that they do not infringe anyone else’s rights.

5. Acceptable use

You must not: upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content; attempt to reverse engineer, overload or bypass limits or security of the Service; create multiple accounts to obtain free credits; resell access without our written permission; or use the Service to plan or facilitate anything illegal.

We may review content flagged by automated moderation and may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

6. AI output and professional use

Outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors, including wrong dimensions or proportions. They are drafts for visualisation and communication, not construction, permit, structural, engineering or manufacturing documents. Please read the AI-output Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on providers such as cloud hosting, payment processing, error monitoring and AI model providers. Their availability is outside our control, and features that depend on them may change.

8. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence or under mandatory consumer protection rules.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or if required by law. On termination, unused credits lapse; you can export your drawings before closing your account.

10. Changes, law and contact

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give notice in the product or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

The governing law and venue will be stated here once the operating entity is confirmed. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
